Los alumnos que en el año 2003 estudian Bachillerato o acceden a la Universidad no han tenido ninguna experiencia directa de la Guerra Fría. Si hay una fenómeno que claramente muestra la cesura entre generaciones es este: los que conocimos y nos formamos en un mundo bipolar en el que dos bloques se enfrentaban ideológica, política, económica y militarmente, y los que perciben el largo enfrentamiento entre EE.UU. y la URSS, entre el bloque occidental y el bloque comunista, como un tema más de la asignatura de historia. Esta webquest trata de proponer una secuencia didáctica para que los alumnos conozcan mejor el proceso que llevó al fin de la Guerra Fría.

Además de la información general del país, en la parte inferior de la página se muestran los últimos contenidos actualizados sobre el país disponible en la base de datos de la web de Casa Asia: Noticias, Actividades, Expertos, Becas, Centros de estudio y Recursos.
Por último, el Mapa interactivo muestra, desplegando el botón de Indicadores ubicado en la parte inferior izquierda del mapa, los principales indicadores socio-económicos de referencia sobre los países de Asia-Pacífico así como un listado de los proyectos que diversas ONG catalanas están realizando en la región.
