El movimiento solo dur&oacute; unas semanas, pero paraliz&oacute; la econom&iacute;a del pa&iacute;s y gener&oacute; cambios estructurales que todav&iacute;a pasan factura al aparato productivo local. Las estimaciones no oficiales hablan de un coste de unos 5.000 millones de d&oacute;lares, aproximadamente el 10% del PIB.</p>\r\n<p>Las revueltas impulsaron un nuevo Gobierno, pero sembraron la incertidumbre y la desconfianza en los mercados internacionales y en las empresas extranjeras, y asestaron un duro golpe al turismo, uno de los principales motores de su econom&iacute;a. Casi un centenar de empresas se han marchado del pa&iacute;s en este a&ntilde;o y la inversi&oacute;n extranjera directa (IED) ha ca&iacute;do en torno al 20%. En el caso del turismo, los visitantes extranjeros se han reducido a la mitad. El sector servicios representa el 50% del PIB, por lo que su efecto en el empleo ha sido importante y ha superado el 20% en las zonas urbanas.</p>\r\n<a name=\"sumario_1\"></a>\r\n<div class=\"sumario__interior\">\r\n<div class=\"sumario-texto\">\r\n<p class=\"texto_grande\">Tras superar la crisis global con alzas, 2011 cerr&oacute; con crecimiento cero</p>\r\n</div>\r\n</div>\r\n<p>Los problemas de T&uacute;nez tambi&eacute;n se ven agravados por la contracci&oacute;n del comercio exterior, la otra mitad de su econom&iacute;a. Los mayores socios comerciales del pa&iacute;s son Francia, Italia, Alemania, Espa&ntilde;a y Libia, cuyas econom&iacute;as no pasan por su mejor momento y representan el 65% del conjunto de sus exportaciones e importaciones. A la crisis de deuda europea se suma el v&iacute;a crucis que vive Libia para reconstruir el pa&iacute;s despu&eacute;s de la guerra civil que termin&oacute; con el Gobierno de Muamar el Gadafi.</p>\r\n<p>Esto ha generado que el pa&iacute;s registrase un crecimiento cero en el ejercicio de 2011, seg&uacute;n las cifras del Fondo Monetario Internacional (FMI), despu&eacute;s de superar los tres primeros a&ntilde;os de la crisis mundial con un crecimiento medio anual del PIB del 3,8%. Con estos datos, la principal tarea que ha asumido el nuevo Ejecutivo es estabilizar la econom&iacute;a y terminar con la corrupci&oacute;n estatal que cuesta al pa&iacute;s unos mil millones anuales. El actual Gobierno debe adem&aacute;s cumplir con la promesa de redistribuir la riqueza y mejorar las prestaciones sociales, el detonante de las revueltas de enero de 2011.</p>\r\n<p>La Administraci&oacute;n se ha comprometido a aumentar el gasto p&uacute;blico en m&aacute;s de un 10%, recursos que se destinar&iacute;an a generar oportunidades de empleo, apoyo a la promoci&oacute;n de la actividad econ&oacute;mica y creaci&oacute;n de incentivos fiscales para revitalizar el sector tur&iacute;stico. El objetivo tambi&eacute;n es invertir m&aacute;s recursos en educaci&oacute;n y sanidad. No obstante, desde el FMI se ha advertido que los nuevos Gobiernos de T&uacute;nez, Libia y Egipto deben controlar el gasto p&uacute;blico para asegurar la sostenibilidad de estas pol&iacute;ticas sociales a medio plazo.</p>\r\n<p>Con todo, T&uacute;nez ha logrado, de momento, mantener la inflaci&oacute;n bajo control en un 3,5% durante 2011 y con perspectivas de quedarse en el 4% en este curso. A pesar de las turbulencias internacionales, los expertos han valorado positivamente los primeros pasos de la econom&iacute;a tunecina hacia su recuperaci&oacute;n. Incluso las agencias de riesgo podr&iacute;an mejorar su clasificaci&oacute;n crediticia en los pr&oacute;ximos meses.
