Fuentes del Ministerio de Cultura destacaron la importancia de la obra de Genov&eacute;s al adquirirlo en 1979, indicando que esa significaci&oacute;n &laquo;no reside &uacute;nicamente en su calidad art&iacute;stica y en su planteamiento conceptual; El abrazo supone, adem&aacute;s, el s&iacute;mbolo de nuestra transici&oacute;n hacia la democracia y el ferviente anhelo de la definitiva reconciliaci&oacute;n entre las que Antonio Machado denomin&oacute; &laquo;las dos Espa&ntilde;as&raquo;.
